Comments(0) AMMAN, Jordan - A Jordanian man fatally shot his 17-year-old daughter whom he suspected of having sex despite a medical exam that proved her chastity, an official said Thursday.
The man surrendered to police hours after the killing, saying he had done it for family honor.

Posted January 25, 2007 Comments(0) Wurtsboro - Maybe the oven is not the best way to dry out your stash. Police say a Wurtsboro Hills man learned this the hard way over the weekend.
About 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Wurtsboro firefighters went to a house fire at 7 Locust Trail, the home of Patrick Jones, 28. They discovered that the fire had started in the kitchen stove – and they found the wad of pot, more than a pound of it, inside the oven.

“I feel like there is no excuse for this type of ignorance,” said Donald Ray Elder, a Tarleton State sophomore and president of the school’s NAACP chapter.

The remains were found Monday in 1950s-era papers inside a suitcase contained inside a second suitcase.
