The war of pedestrians vs. motorists took a new turn downtown Tuesday night, and this time a driver brought a gun to the fight, according to Chicago Police.

No shots were fired, but when it was all over, the victim was lying in an intersection — injured after being knocked to the ground by the vehicle and then pistol-whipped by the driver, his family says. The motorist ended up behind bars.
